Shippment tracking

Hello everyone,

We are all well aware that Amazon does not consider Deutsch Post's tracking number as valid (Standardbrief, Kompaktbrief, Großbrief, Maxibrief with out without prio) and shows it as lost to the customer.

Then what is considered as valid tracking ? There is the Warenpost option from Deutsch Post but will I have the same problem ?

Or is the only option is going to DHL packet and paying much much more for the tracking ?

On top of the "lost package" message, my problem is that my article is just under the tracking treshold price and if customers add a 1euro customization then I have to officially pay 4euro more for shippment to keep my account health which makes no sense.

What is your solution for sending small items ?

Thank your for your help

Yes, ‘Warenpost’ enables correct tracking and is accepted by Amazon as a trackable shipment.

Note that 2025 the "Warenpost" will be replaced by "Kleinpaket". It will be more expensive, I guess.

I send small low-priced items and almost 90% of them as non-trackable postal letters. I'm still lucky that my customers rarely report a supposedly lost shipment when they see the message from Amazon. In such cases, I carefully explain to the buyer that such a message is a clear and even Amazon-wanted ‘bug’. I write that I use internet postage stamps with QR codes that can be tracked to a certain extent. If the shipment has indeed not arrived, then the customer should send a signed report of non-receipt and the confirmation of the delivery address so that I can initiate an investigation. So far, not a single buyer has done this and I have not had to refund anything.
