I've just been hit with about 10 issues as my listings have the text " in loving memory " because I sell in loving memory items. Apparently that free choice wording is a trademark. Hmmm

We were hit by the exact same trademark issue for cola flavouring. I simply got a case open with support and said how ridiculous this was and please explain further how I have use a trademark from Coca Cola. The listing was reinstated in less than 24 hours and the intellectual property/trademark claim was removed.

It is all done by bots it seems but when an actual human looks at the listing, they see no issue.

We had the same issue.

Took a lot of reopening of the SS case, but after pointing out that 'cola' is not trade marked and is a word in the English dictionary, we eventually got them reinstated.

I also asked SS about supermarkets selling their own brand Cola products - are Coca-Cola going to be suing them? just to show how ridiculous this all is.

We had the same problem. I was expecting months of fruitless back and forth with seller support but to my absolute astonishment they reinstated all the ASIN's when i told them we were not using "coca-cola' and just "cola". I think that could be the first time in many years SS have actually resolved a problem on the first ticket.

It's not just Amazon bots who do this, I had exactly the same with Google ads, my other company has 'Cotswold' in the title and apparently that infringes someone's copyright!

After yelling at Google and giving them the example that the 'London Stock Exchange' doesn't own the word 'London', it isn't theirs exclusively and it doesn't ban every other person on the planet from using it in any context whatsoever they gave up and reinstated me, but only after several heated exchanges!

Point out you are NOT showing as Coca Cola (It is not Cocoa-cola as you stated, that may confuse them spelling it that way).

I had a London photo removed as that had an advert for Coca Cola in it, which we mentioned on the listing. We altered to just saying Cola, and they removed the violation.

We pointed out we said Cola and NOT Coca Cola (even though it was that in the photo!)

Same to me I sold military gifts with an MOD licence.

They took down 100s including bases, squadrons etc. Main one seemed to be RAF Police "Amazon does not allow items which may give rise to the impersonation of law enforcement"

A seller sent me a screenshot of a kids silver dress up badge containing the word "Sherriff" This item was being sold by Amazon themselves & call me cynical but the bots managed to avoid spotting that one!

In my opinion for what it's worth Amazon did not care that much from the start, but you only have to look at forum threads to see sellers frustrations regarding getting any constructive help from seller support.

I consider Amazon to be broken now, it has become an uncontrollable animal. I think you either choose list stuff on this platform or you don't, but experience has taught me that you sell on here at your peril now don't rely on good outcomes with Seller Support.

We had this too for Cola. Took a lot of arguing and put our account at risk. Had the violations removed in the end. But the account has lost the account protection because of this, and our last disbursement is on hold and wont let us do another.

I have also been hit with this. We sell Cola flavoured sweets. I asked them what flavour I should put then?

I also spoke to Account Health who told me that every listing with the word Cola in will be removed. He said that they cannot take the risk of being sued by Coca-Cola for allowing the use of the word on their site. I mentioned to him about Asda, Tesco selling their own 'Cola' but he wasn't interested.

This has taken the stupidity of Amazon to a new level.
