Carrier Central claims USDOT number ### not registered with SCAC code ####
We are trying to set up a Carrier Central account for an LTL shipment to IUSF in Dallas on behalf of our carrier. This is an AWD shipment, but our first LTL shipment to AWD
The carrier is a well established carrier but Amazon is rejecting the new account with the message:
“Your request was denied for the following reason: Please request account using the 4 digit SCAC code certified by NMFTA and assigned to your company"
But we had provided the number. When asking for clarification we got the following from Amazon:
” USDOT number 797### not registered with SCAC code TH##”
(I masked the number but they are definitely correct).
Questions:
- has anyone else had similar issues?
- how can we verify the code in the same way Amazon is doing so? Is there a definitive website beyond random googling?
- is it possible the rejection is due to an existing account the carrier has that they may have forgotten about?
- worst case how do we contact an Amazon partnered carrier for an LTL delivery from Dallas to IUSF?
It’s costing us daily storage. We’re very lucky we got this shipment into US before tariffs hit (barely) but we need to resolve ASAP.
