FBA fee remeasurement for polybagged products
Hello, I have discovered that the FBA fees for our inventory stored within the FBA fulfillment centers are being measured larger than their actual size, resulting in incorrect FBA order fees. I intend to apply for an FBA fee remeasurement.
However, our products are packaged in poly bags, and even though we use the same size poly bags, I've found that there's a possibility of different measurements within the FBA centers. This issue is widely shared among sellers in this forum.
Currently, we already hold dozens of units of inventory for each SKU.
To resolve this, we plan to introduce new packaging methods (for example, vacuum packing the poly bags or ensuring the product and poly bag are as close together as possible to not exceed our desired dimensions for the shortest side) for new stock shipments.
In this case, if we change the packaging method of the product and apply for an FBA fee change, does Amazon remeasure the FBA fees based on this? Or will the FBA fee remain based on the product dimensions of the originally stored inventory?
I'm curious how this issue is being resolved, and if there are any sellers who have successfully reapplied for FBA fee remeasurement using the solutions I mentioned?
Below is an option found in the FBA fee remeasurement widget, which also includes an option for when the package size has been reduced, which is described as "I have reduced my packaging size"
Please help, and good luck to all sellers.

Hello @Seller_4xZw28kqMR3sj, vacuum packaging is definitely encouraged for accurate measurements. When you submit your remeasurement request, Amazon will randomly select one unit from your inventory. There is not a way to guarantee it will be the inventory with the updated packaging.
