Don't think it is a fake email. Amazon do run a brand transparency program and you can enrol into it.
It sounds mostly like it is genuine and they are asking you if you want to take up the service.
It is not compulsory and unless you have a specific need to protect your products with transparency codes there is no need to sign up for it.
