Creating Variations For Virtual Bundles - Should be Possible
Hi,
We currently carry a brand that uses MAP pricing and for us to aggressively market the brand we would like to create virtual bundles as variations on the product detail page (the product would come with free accessories). However, it seems difficult/impossible to add a virtual bundle to a variation. I am not sure if the Forum Team can help with this issue but I see countless examples of Virtual Bundle Variations on Amazon so it must be possible. I am looking for some insight and I am wondering if this is something that has to ben done internally. Thank you
Please see the below examples of virtual bundle variations for reference -

What exactly are your doing when trying to create this? Step by step ... because I doubt you qualify.

This feature is only available to FBA sellers who own a brand. The seller must be internal to the brand and responsible for selling the brand in the Amazon store.

Hi @Mr_Vac_Mrs_Sew,
Thanks for the post. The issue that you are having with the variations, does an error code appear? If so can you confirm the error code number.
Thanks in advance.

That's good then ...
I know it's just terminology ... but not using the correct terms could mean you are doing it wrong.
You do not add to a "variation."
- A variation is just a "Child" ASIN.
- Multiple "children" ASINs assembled together under a "Parent" ASIN form a "Variation Relationship
So an error I have been receiving is 8603 -
"You cannot change the 'item_classification' for SKU '______________' by submitting a feed with a new value.
This seems to imply that you are trying to change a "Child" ASIN.
- Do you have a "Parent" ASIN?
- Do you have other children already under it?
However ... when I see this next part ...
8541
"The SKU data provided is different from what's already in the Amazon catalog. The item_id data provided matches ASIN ________, but the following data is different from what's already in the Amazon catalog: item_classification (Merchant: 'base_product' / Amazon: 'product_bundle').
It seems you are trying to use the SKU of a single product to make it into a bundle.
Your bundle would have to be a new SKU.

From what I can see, Virtual Bundle variations are a feature available on the Vendor Central platform. Not Seller Central.
