Group of sellers attacking my shop
Hi I’m looking for some advice, I only sell one item on amazon and I’m quite happy making a wee bit of side money with a hobby i enjoy
however 3 people have logged Voice of the Customer complaints indicating that my items are counterfeit, this is not true everything i sell is 100% legit, I’ve been dealing in trading cards for years and i put a lot of work into making up the bundles and making sure they have nice ultra rare cards for the kids to open
I’ve been able to prove that all 3 of these voice of the customers complaints are all for the same group of people, who all know each other, are friends on Facebook, who all sell the same item i do under the same ASIN but i sell them cheaper
Amazon have taken steps to arrange the destruction of my stock that i have for sale with them and are asking for an invoice for the items i am selling
i only have an invoice for the 50,000 odd cards individual cards that I bought, and then some of them are coming from my own personal collection
has anyone had something similar (unlikely to be exactly the same) happen an how were you able to deal with it

There’s been quite a few threads on these cards so it would be worth looking through them as others have had problems with them. Just put “Pokemon” into the search. One such thread https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/forums/t/product-inauthenticity-complaint-appeal-round-6-unique-situation-please-help/559532

I assume this is an inherent risk of attempting to sell repackaged Pokémon cards.
Did you sell them as New?
Seller_SITNVuZK87zGK
The problem is, you cannot prove the authenticity of your cards, you won’t have invoices for the product you are listing and you’ve just admitted listing (partly) your second hand goods as new.
Your friend unfortunately knows exactly how the amazon system works.

If you’re a vendor of trading cards, you will have heard the term ‘Secondary Market’, right? That’s the term for the resale of any TCG product that isn’t going through the official distribution channels.
Whether you’re selling singles or home made booster packs/decks, or anything similar, you’re selling second hand goods. When Amazon ask if the product is New, they don’t mean is the condition mint, they mean is the product a Primary Market sale.

Just, once again, to reiterate what has been said before, if you are buying the cards to sell on for profit (which you are), even though some are used, then you ARE a business and must, by law, be registered with HMRC as self-employed (sole-trader), keep accounts and submit an annual tax return, even if you do also have another ‘day job’. You would also have to give Amazon your UTR for a BUSINESS Seller Account on Amazon, not Individual, which is only for selling off ones own personally owned second-hand items, and not new items.
If you are, then my apologies.

You are the “cheapest” seller because 1. You are not paying VAT 2. You are not paying for a business seller account. 3. You are selling 2nd hand items as new.
Basically you are trading illegally and advice would be to stop.

If you have proof, take legal action. small claims court is very easy to use. go for a large amount. dont be a victim, fight back.

You have just one invoice for 50,000 cards?
You have obviously not received the answers you were hoping for but the best advice is to stop listing these cards as ‘new’.
Amazon has become a lot stricter about supply chains recently and sooner or later ‘new’ items not purchased through ‘authorised’ channels are likely to get taken down, especially if they are ‘popular’ items.

There are more posts on this thread about tax laws and being registered with HMRC than helping with the actual question. Who took this thread on this irrelevant tangent?

On the subject seller attacking your account it happens alot on Amazon. All you need to report it because its a violation of Amazon policy.
