Repeated FBA Removal Order Cancellations
Hi
I’m reaching out here because I’m stuck with a frustrating issue that Seller Support hasn’t been able to resolve, and I’m hoping someone has experienced something similar or can offer advice.
I have a SKU in my inventory that I’ve been trying to remove for months now. Every time I create a removal order, it gets canceled, no matter what I try. I’ve opened multiple cases with Seller Support, and each time, they’ve told me the item is stored in a fulfillment center that’s ineligible for removal.
When I request for the inventory to be transferred to a fulfillment center where removal is possible, Seller Support says they’ll contact an internal team to investigate the issue. However, after waiting several months and following up numerous times, they eventually tell me the item is now eligible for removal. But, when I attempt to create the removal order again, it still gets canceled, putting me right back to square one.
Has anyone else encountered this kind of ongoing cycle, where removal orders keep getting canceled without resolution? I’d greatly appreciate any advice on how to break through this loop, especially if there’s a specific team or escalation pathway that might help move things forward.
Thank you in advance for any insights or suggestions you can offer!

Yup....dealing with this now. We sell expiration dated products. Had a product expire Oct 2023. We always place removal orders before Amazon would mark them as expired (50 days before the actual best by date). We've created numerous removal orders for this one unit and still nothing. Was told Monday that it's now in a warehouse that can process a removal order. Then why have the last 3 removal orders been cancelled? They are "looking into it."
No help - just sympathy.

Hi @Seller_p5uh9OyzlyGLj,
Dominic from Amazon here, unfortunately we don't have the ability to expedite or push through removal orders. We have to wait for the orders to either be completed or if they are cancelled the team will recreate it and try to get this inventory out.
Best,
Dominic
