Amazon account manager
Hi, First post here, is there such a thing as "Account Managers" we have a very simple problem that needs to be resolved but seller support are useless - just keep getting the same automated messages back and forth.
It would take an account manager 30 seconds to resolve this problem yet Seller support appear un-willing to help with even the most basic of questions.
Regards

We've been with amazon since 2016 - never had an account manager.
There are programs that periodically seem to crop up that you pay for that are essentially seller support but they sort things.
What is the issue though?

No such thing - we did join a programme with a 'handler'
They were as much at mercy to the Amazon internal systems as anyone. We left the programe as they cannot change anything to do with listings or anything else really etc. Most issues on Amazon are really simple to sort out if you could speak to a human - who had the power to help. The reality is many issues do not land in front of people who can help. It takes some pushing to get anything seemingly easy to sorted out.
You will need to get used to opening cases and sticking with them. We have found it takes at least 24-72 hours of constant emailing back and forth to get anywhere. You will experience issues with cases being shut without resolution - open another case and start again.
Keep the information bullet pointed and factual - ideally keep the issue on a word doc so you can cut and paste it back into the cases. If you keep doing this you will have a bot step in to say - nothing new here. So rearrange the cut and paste and carry on and it will get you back in front of (possibility) a human.
Never had an account manager in the last 5 years.

Welcome to Amazon!
Save yourself a lot of time and hassle, don't bother contacting seller support (so called).

No such thing as an account manager. There are Amazon consultants and you have relationship type managers, some are paid for services and some will be offered for free for a period of time.
Unfortunately if you have a problem of a technical nature, they will direct you to seller support. they are not allowed to even make changes on your account.
Most problems raised on Amazon will take 30 seconds to resolve it and yes they are pretty basic but remember seller support are just call handlers with the seller University at their disposal. You also have seller university at your disposal and after a while you will have a greater understanding of this than most at seller support.
If you post your problem on the forum, you may get some better help from another experienced seller.

If Seller Support are unable to fix it you can try emailing the escalations team at managingdirector@amazon.co.uk
This used to be a really good way of getting issues fixed but now it is a lot more hit and miss. However it is worth a try as I have had a couple of account issues fixed this way recently, I have also had just generic Seller Support emails from them as well.
If you do email make sure you email from your Amazon registered address.
Unfortunately whatever your issue is you may just have to learn to live with it.

You should open the same case 3–5 times; even then, you will receive an answer to the question you didn't ask!
We been selling on Amazon since 2016. year, it's enough, time to move from Amazon.
Sellers, what i know, think the same, get out ASAP.

The only way you will ever get a human respond to a SS ticket is if you reply 4 or 5 times - this seems to then escalate the ticket and bypass the automated responses. That said, even when you get a human they are still pretty useless and spend most of the email conversation telling you how they "appreciate your frustration" without ever actually helping to solve the issue. And they never bother reading all the previous tickets so you will have to explain the issue again.
I have, for the most part, completely given up with SS tickets unless absolutely essential and i'm prepared to waste days trying to get an answer.
Don't be fooled by Amazon offering various (paid) services to assist with your account. These people can't get past seller support either and have no ability to fix anything.

tbh i actually find talking to humans not very helpful either, I simply cannot understand what they are saying. I keep asking them to repeat it but it is impossible to understand. I think email/live chat is unfortunately easier. PLEASE Amazon can we have some support UK/Europe-based telephone support

There are account managers but you have to hit a level of sales before receiving the call or email.

I have multiple account managers, I visit the UK head office and i've always got somebody to speak to. I really don't get the issues most sellers face. It's quite strange the differences in experience.
