Invoices for Shipping Charges
Hi Folks!
Just a quick question on invoices for shipping charges. We sell both via FBA and FBM. When we have a customer request an invoice on an FBM order, then we of course include the item/s they purchased, as well as the shipping charges they paid, and then the total.
However, on FBA orders, if the customer is paying shipping charges, then we wouldn’t include them as they have not been paid to us, but to Amazon. They haven’t gone through our books, so we can’t include them on an invoice, So, we just include the products. However, I’ve just had a customer query that. I’ve explained that, as these are not paid to us, we cannot include them on an invoice. The customer has replied, saying they understand this, but asking how they can get an invoice for their shipping charges. Is this a case of referring them to Amazon, or am I doing it wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help with this point.

It depends on how the shipping was handled by Amazon so you’ll need to check the transaction report. If it was a shipping chargeback the customer has paid you for the shipping, then Amazon have taken this back from you and it’s accounted for in their invoice (usually supplied at the end of each month).
If it was a promo rebate then you haven’t seen that money at all.

Hi,We are one of the seller on Amazon.co.uk. The shipping fees is included in the invoice we made. We think it is not bad for we seller. But for the buyers, most of them asking for invoices to hand in for their comany or just for warranty (as a proof when the items are broken).
Thank you!
