Amazon Consumer Misselling
Assuming most people here are Small Businesses I am interested to hear feedback from Business Owners who have had an experience with dealing with Amazon Support. I have been told they are extremely ineffective and if you are locked out of your account they make communicating impossible, as has been the case in my scenario.
Amazon also claim to 'Support Small Businesses'. As a Small Business Owner, in my experience of Amazon, I find this claim to be false and extremely misleading and I would like to build a case to take to the Advertising Standards Authority, preventing them from making this claim, as they do not support small businesses. They treat Small Business Owners with contempt.
My personal experience relates to be being locked out of my account for 3 weeks and there being absolutely no way to engage with anyone to regain access and their support team has blatantly and refused to pay attention to my issues, meaning Amazon are in breach of contract and the support staff couldn't care less.
Therefore for Amazon to claim that they support Small Businesses is a fabrication of the truth, in my opinion, as I have never in my life experienced such extreme levels of incompetence and blatant refusal to even acknowledge to particulars of the issue. They even tell me to log into my account to tell me how to fix being locked out of my account. Which is nothing short of astonishing.
I will of course be filing a claim in the County Court against Amazon and will be suing Amazon for breach of contract, however I don't think that is enough. I do not think Amazon should be allowed to claim they support Small Businesses when in fact they seemingly treat Small Business Owners with nothing but wholesale contempt.

I know from your other thread your issue, any you may likely have a case to go through the claims court. However, I’d advise you’d be on a hiding to nothing trying to take up a claim of misleading advertising with the ASA on the basis amazon claim to ‘support small business’ on your experience alone.
How Amazon support small business, Amazon could show in a myriad of ways. I’m sorry for your experience but I would say amazons vague support statement isn’t misleading. In my opinion.
