Subject: Urgent Assistance Needed for Removing Recalled Product Inventory from Amazon Warehouse

Dear Sellers and Amazon Support Team,

I am reaching out to seek your urgent help and advice regarding a critical issue we have been facing with our Product A, which was recalled by the U.S. Customs due to excessive lead content.

Summary of the Issue:

October 2022: Amazon received a notification from U.S. Customs about the recall and promptly took down and recalled all units of Product A. Within a week, Amazon disposed of half of our inventory.

Removal Request Denied: Our request to remove the remaining inventory to our overseas warehouse was denied. We no longer have the option to remove or dispose of Product A in our seller account.

Ongoing Investigation: Amazon informed us that they are investigating the issue and assured us that storage fees incurred during this investigation would be waived. Despite weekly inquiries about the investigation and requests to remove the remaining inventory, we have been consistently told that the investigation is ongoing.

Storage Fees Charged: In December 2023, our account was suddenly charged storage fees. As of today, June 17, 2024, it has been 625 days since this issue began, and it remains unresolved. We still cannot remove or dispose of the unsellable inventory, and every removal request is met with a response indicating lack of permission or ongoing investigation at the U.S. warehouse.

Request for Assistance:

We urgently need guidance on how to remove this unsellable inventory to avoid further unnecessary storage fees. What steps can we take to resolve this issue efficiently? Has anyone encountered a similar situation, and if so, how did you manage to resolve it?

This is just a FORUM with other sellers -- not Amazon directly.

If you have opened any cases provide a number so any MOD that happens to drop by can look it over to see if they can help.

Without a case number in the posts it wastes time for everyone. I no longer tag anyone if there is no case #.

They have to ask for it and then wait for a reply from the poster and then the poster has to wait again for the MOD to find the case, and then more waiting.…………....

- When was the last time you created a Seller Support case for this (and can you provide the case ID)?

- When was the last time you attempted to create a Removal Order for this inventory?
