Restocking /closed shipping plan

I was to restock a sold out product and had a limit of 2000 units, we produce base on this limit and create a shipping plan, in fact, we first created a shipping plan and produce base on the limit that was granted , production and shipping took time because of covid, goods was cleared on 7/08/2021 and shipping plan was closed on 6/08/2021 goods arrived amazon warehouse on 12/08/2021 and was rejected and return to the clearing agent to the port, I called amazon and was told to duplicate the closed shipping plan and resend the goods, i tried doing that and was told i can only send 1000 unit, i argued with them and said but this was already planned .I was told she will speak to the department and involve and get back to me only for me to receive email immediately we we dropped off the call that they regret to inform me that they can allow the previous limit, I bet they didn’t look into the matter but just wanted to get rid of my call. I have no plan of what to do, i only do FBA, clearing agent said if any information changed or if there are to change shipping label he can not be able to proceed, i m stock and confused and i have given 24hrs to decide where to drop the goods. I need help on the best to do, this whole thing is costing me unplan extra cost

When you say things took a while due to covid etc, i’m guessing that meant the shipping plan was closed due to reaching 90 days which i think is the longest Amazon allows?

I imagine your restock limits have changed a fair bit if that was the case so it wouldn’t be surprising for Amazon to say you can’t send the full number of units now. In fact maybe there weren’t restock limits when you originally created the plan.

Since you’ve been given 24hrs by your agent it would seem the best / quickest option is to perhaps get the items delivered to a storage unit whilst you get the Amazon end sorted? Many storage units have promotions so it shouldn’t be too costly.
