Listing Policy Violations but no help to solve!

At the end of last week we had 12 listing policy violations appear in our account relating to the description. However, on reviewing it myself I can't find anything wrong so raises a case to try and find out exactly what the issue is but just seem to be going round in circles with them just saying that the description violates the policy but no clue as to why - has anyone else had this problem?

The puzzling thing is that I've not touched the descriptions of these for months so why is it all of a sudden showing as a violation - and when I go in to edit the description in SC (as they suggest) there's no indication that the description has an error or a violation!

Can you give one of the ASINs so we can take a look and see what might be triggering it?

Do you have a message in your performance notifications about it?

Bet that is the problem, take it out, leave it

for 24 hours and I bet it will come up OK.

Have you checked the A+ content? Amazon keep rolling out things that aren't allowed in A+ so it might be in there?

Im having the same issue , had over 100+ listing with the same issue , removed basically all of my description and bullet points to play it safe. Worked for a few but got 45 left that don't want to shift !

I have just being having a semi comical 'conversation' with seller support about second hand book prices. I have had books removed from sale for being to expensive ( they were actually cheaper than other copies for sale ) it went something like 'please supply us with the reference price for this item'' And me, this is a second hand out of print book. there is no reference price, There is 30 years in the trade and a lot of experience but there is NO reference price. And the reply ,''please supply us with the referece price. '' About five times. No indication that they had understood or even read what I had written.

What I am saying is, please don't rely on seller support for almost anything.

  • The specific attribute that is causing the issue on the Product Detail page is Product description. Indeed, I checked one of the ASINs and the product description content is simply not showing in the listing.

  • I see that in order to solve it, Seller Support asked you to do the full update to force the system to upload the missing content.

Did you try to reupload it?

Hi,

We had the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I had not touched our product descriptions for years then this violation. It seems they took offense at "Superb quality Microfibre cloths" & "High quality microfibre cloths" so I deleted Superb & High Quality and just left in Microfibre cloths. Job done. We did get a hint that "Superb" was a violation!! Good luck with trying to get any sense out of the complaints dept.
