CPC charge

dear beloved seller / colleague,

i call you guys colleague as i thought we are all indirectly work for Amazon. truly i felt like as i have never made any money in past two years and now even owes money to amazon!

what a word of online selling.

today, i would like to pick your brain on does any of you knows how Amazon CPC charges per campaign come from?

as my previous discussion on how to reduce ads costs, since i am loosing money. i looked more on Amazon ads invoices.

I found number of questions, that i am getting no where with Amazon. they keep giving me a standard answer which have not answered any of my questions.

my question 1. i found out Amazon average CPC charges is not the same as my budgeted average CPC charges. they are quite shockingly large differences some of them more than 50% more than my budgeted. how does this work?

2. Amazon is charging some campaign that i have put inactive, is this right?

3. Amazon also charging me for campaign i got no sales. I guess they charge per click.

so if any of you would like to advise how Amazon average CPC charges works that would be great.

thank you

3. Yes, amazon advertising works on a PPC or pay per click model.

2. Depends when you put them inactive. There is a 14 day attribution window (from memory) so even if you put a campaign inactive today, if someone had clicked on the campaign yesterday and ended up purchasing in the following 13 days - you'd still be charged

As for question 1 - a lot of that is going to depend on your specific setup as it is complicated. But you should still be able to set daily budgets which can help manage your spend.
