How to delete the listing and start afresh

I have a product that, after the launch got 2 5-star reviews from the Vine reviewers. Then, a customer received an item damaged by Amazon (it was FBA order) so he left 1-star review for receiving damaged product and it literally killed it.

I have reported the review over 100 times, also opened a case asking to remove thar review, no success.

Now I want to delete the listing and start afresh, as a new product so I can get more Vine reviews that would keep me safer from those unfair reviews that Amazon apparently does not want to get right even though it was them that had damaged the item.

I asked CS and they said that I could try to apply different SKU for it to be a new product but I have my doubts. I can apply another SKU but the EAN will remain the same so: would that really make it a new product in Amazon catalogue or would it reassign the product to the old one with the same EAN?

I am a brand owner and I make the labels for the products so I think I would rather change both SKU and EAN unless someone has done product relaunch by just changing its SKU and it worked?

in answer to the question in there, changing the SKU only will not create a new ASIN, as you have the same EAN.

New EAN, new ASIN.

It is however strictly against amazon policy to create a new ASIN for an existing product. Doing so you can lose your ASIN creation privileges. So do it at your own risk. You could argue that the fact it arrived damaged could mean you need to review how you package it for FBA?
