Calling all Canadian FBA sellers Selling solely in Canada(Canadian Sellers Selling In Canada....) Your customers might get to see this!

Take a gander at this listing. We're Canadian Sellers, selling solely in Canada to Canadian buyers. We sell primarily FBA, with a few FBM items, it is only the FBA items that are being affected.

If your listing looked like this, what would you think?? We are the featured used buy box. Our list price $31.22 Here's the surprise for the Customer....$31.22 + $12.22 Import Deposit and free shipping from Amazon.ca

Now, if this were your listing, what would you think? We only came across this while we were trying to figure out why some items that should have sold did not and this is what we discovered.

Please tell us what you think! Then I'll tell you what Amazon's response has been.

Hope you're having a better week than we are! All replies greatly appreciated. Thanks

So to follow up. I posted my screenshot yesterday. JPart2 has posted a screenshot today. There isn't an import fee showing. Which is part of the problem, the import fee seems to just show up and then disappear off the landing page at random. Yesterday a $12.12 Shipping & import Fees deposit showed. Today, not there. I include a screen shot of an item today that shows the import fee. It's crazy. JPart2's response follows with a screen shot taken today of the same item I posted here yesterday.

Its a problem of what the customer sees on first view. Given the import fees showing, it is not likely they will add it to their cart off the featured used item (ours), but will likely go to the drop-down and select another buyers offering. If they actually click on the featured item it will then show that there is no import fee. But given the high price with the added cost, they are unlikely to click on it and add it to their cart.

And when you look at the two side by side, it makes even less sense. Yesterday's item was $31.22 + $12.12 Shipping and Import Fees Deposit. The item from today is $39.95 + $2.22 Import Fees Deposit & FREE shipping.

The wording on the listing for both regarding the import fees is different and the supposed charges ($12.12) vs. ($2.22) do not make sense, the lower cost item has more fees than the higher item. There is not rationale

Hello @Seller_7djRFe3LutVD0,

This is Josh from Amazon. Thanks for contacting our Forums!

I understand your situation with the Import deposit fees that are showing when traying to buy the item on Amazon.ca. I can see that you have an original post for this matter here:

Canadian Seller, no imports, not selling outside Canada, finding Import Fees showing on my listings?.

One of my colleagues there, escalated the issue to our internal team, and I see that they have provided us with a response.

It seems that our internal reviewed the product and found no issue present. They saw the import fee imposed on the BuyBox Winner, however, when they select your offer and proceed to checkout for both Providences, Ontario and British Columbia only a Shipping Fee is present.

With the Import Fee being visible on the Buybox winner the units for this ASIN may be present in the US or available for Remote Fulfillment with Seller Hikaru Store.

I hope this information helps. If you want to continue this discussion I would suggest you to continue on the original post, as this is a duplicated post and the thread will be closed. Please refrain from creating new posts with the same case as the situation has been resolved on the original post.

Kind Regards,

-Josh
