Question about Knives listing and Violation of Polcies
I’m a relatively new seller on Amazon Canada. Recently, one of my listings was removed and the associated inventory is now marked for disposal (no units were sold). The reason provided was:
This product has been identified as a folding knife or similar product that is prohibited by the Canada Border Services Agency. With the exception of certain multitools and bladed tools designed for art or gardening, folding knives or razors are not permitted on Amazon.ca.”
However, the knife included in my fishing tool kit is not a folding knife. It is a fixed-blade fishing and hunting knife, measuring 8.7 inches in total length with a blade thickness of 4 mm.
I submitted two appeals with clear pictures but received the same response both times. I recognize that there may be gaps in my understanding of the policy, which is why I’m reaching out here.
If anyone in this forum has insight into what may have triggered this violation or has experienced something similar, I would truly appreciate your advice.

Thank you in advance

Thinking maybe you need to start with the Canada Border Services Agency?

Does anyone have time to take a look at this case for me? We sold about 30 units of this product last year, and this is our second shipment (300 units). Before proceeding with disposal, I’d like to understand the specific issue with these knives to avoid making the same mistake again. If it turns out the fault is on my end, I’ll have no regrets about disposing of them.
