How can I escalate a case to get support?

Hi

I have been going to support for a simple question, why my old ASIN are not deleted but they seems to not even read my question. They keep saying things that are not even related and then close the chat.

It has been month since I am trying to find a solution but the agents absolutely unprofessional.

They keep saying update the listing and the listing was deleted already.

Regards

What exactly is your question that you are trying to ask support?

ASINs can't really be deleted.

Once an ASIN has been created it will remain in the catalogue for ever - they cannot be deleted.

You may be confusing a listing with an ASIN. An ASIN, linked to its EAN/GTIN, is forever. Even if it gets discontinued and you cant search for it anymore, its still there in the catalogue, hidden.

You create a listing for the ASIN, and theyre unique per SKU, so when you delete your listing, you can re-list the product again using the same, or a new sku, but the ASIN still remains.

Your post is not very clear as to what problem you're actually having, so its not too much of a stretch to think SS might be confused with your request too.

If your old listings are still sitting in your inventory, and you need to delete them, you can go into your inventory and "Delete product and listing", this will remove it from your inventory, but of course, the ASIN is still in the catalogue.

ASIN - Amazon Standard Identification Number - is a alphanumeric number of the item in Amazon catalog. ASIN is bound with GTIN - product barcode number, be it EAN or UPC.

Once ASIN is created with assigned barcode, it cannot be deleted. It can be hidden in catalog (no live offers/listings) but is never deleted.

Link between ASIN and barcode cannot be easily changed - only special teams in Amazon can do it, and they do it very rarely and not without a very good reason.

From Seller's perspective - since you deleted your listing, and there are no other offers for this product, ASIN will be both: hidden in live catalog and deleted from Seller Central.

Seller Central is just a tool for Sellers to list their offers or provide product details (contribute to listing contents). Seller Central is not live catalog. Seller Central just gathers information and then pushes it to live catalog, where your contributions will be accepted or not (which depends on multiple factors).

Since you claim "your" ASIN is not deleted, means either you noticed someone listed product with the same barcode and naturally uses the same ASIN, or you want to list a new product under the same barcode/ASIN and obviously you can't because old product data still exists in catalogue. So which one is it?
