Browse Node vanished – BSR Lost
My Browse node missing on the Product detail page five weeks ago and search was suppressed. The original Top 50 BSR in the browse node category dropped to 1400-2000 in the sub-category.
I have created cases but no luck. Seller support internal team returned with the same canned answer:
“...this is assigned to the current category based on the detail page and how Amazon customers find products through search and browse."
Item-type-keyword (browse node) is mandatory for all new listings created and to make it searchable. But when the ASIN existed, wonder that an assigned category without browse node is also OK and good for customer search?
My product is quite niche and no perfect match item-type-keywords are available. I can only go for a similar category. This is not a mis-categorisation. Otherwise, Amazon is not a marketplace for niche items.
The same browse node has been used since listing creation, and I just want to bring it back.
Any additional help and insights are highly appreciated.
