FBM shipped late.

I have a FBM product and since I haven't logged into my account in about 3 days, he now has a total of 3 orders, 2 of which shipped late. Orders are now shipping late at 66%. There is no performance notice indicating that the item has been discontinued. I'm not sure I'm being affected.

What can I do to mitigate or eliminate the adverse effects?

Thanks to the good people with experience

You cannot undo shipping late. Ship ASAP. Going forward, if you are not going to ship, put your account on vacation.

Whatever impact this has to your metrics can only be corrected with time. And more orders.

If you offer anything for sale you have to check in every day to see if you've made a sale. If you do not plan to check in daily you need to zero your inventory.

Why do you put a thumb down to a correct answer? Just because you don't like it? Didn't you come here for a correct information? Information from sellers who sacrifice their free time to give YOU a FREE advice?

Amazon is a stickler for on time shipping. You must check your account every day and ship your orders on time. Be aware if you have 'automated shipping' on because if you do and you normally ship out your products same day, Amazon will expect you to ship your products out same day. If you randomly take a day off, Amazon may still expect you to ship it out that same day the way you normally do. If you're going to take a day off or leave town for a few days, fulfill all outstanding orders then put your account on vacation mode until you return.

The only thing you can do to eliminate adverse effects is to ship the rest of your orders on time.

Let me address your concerns and provide some clarity.

To best assist you, I reached out to the responsible team for the most up-to-date information. Here's what I found out:

Your account is currently not at risk of deactivation, and you can continue selling your product. There's no need to worry about immediate adverse effects.

Regarding the Late Shipment Rate (LSR) metric, it's important to note that it operates within 10 and 30-day time frames. During these periods, any orders with defects will contribute to your LSR score. However, once these windows pass, the affected orders no longer count towards your LSR.

What does this mean for you? Your LSR will gradually improve over time as older violations drop off. Additionally, fulfilling new orders without any violations will help improve your LSR metrics, bringing it closer to the target threshold of 4% quicker.

To help you avoid similar issues in the future, here are some tips:

  1. Set realistic handling times: Ensure your stated handling time accurately reflects how long it takes you to process and ship orders.
  2. Use order management tools: Leverage Amazon's order management tools to stay on top of incoming orders and their shipping deadlines.
  3. Implement inventory alerts: Set up low stock notifications to avoid overselling and potential shipping delays.
  4. Regular account check-ins: Make it a habit to log into your account daily to process orders promptly.

For more detailed information about this metric, I recommend visiting the Late shipment rate page on Seller Central.

Thank you for utilizing the Sellers Forum to address your concerns. Remember, our community and I are here if you need further clarification or have any additional questions. We're committed to supporting your success as an Amazon seller.

Best,
