Vat on eu sales
Hello,
I wonder if you can help me. Is this right that any of my sales that I do through Amazon that are sold to the EU I do not have to account for VAT through my VAT Return.
Also Amazon selling fees have no vat and only the advertising which I need to apply reverse accounting for.
Thank you

They are zero rated so you still have to account for the transactions on your return , but they are zero rated
You can claim back vat on advertising but the other amazon fees as you say are reverse charged
Speak with an accountant
Edit - this applies if you are standard vat , not on FRS

It is exactly as TLS says in their advice - which is slightly different from what you asked so Im just making sure you fully understood
You said ‘Amazon selling fees have no VAT’ - the fees have no VAT applied but you account for the VAT on the fees under the reverse charge scheme
You then said ‘advertising which I need to apply reverse accounting’ - no, you will be invoiced from Amazon UK which will have VAT applied and you claim back the VAT on your tax return. You do not use reverse accounting on advertising fees
