FBA sales to Ireland

Why are UK FBA shipping to Ireland. This is an EU country and should be treated the same as all of the others. Every item sold there has the VAT removed and makes it difficult to account for.

Are you absolutely sure that they are going to Southern Ireland and not North?
I don’t think I ever sell anything outside the UK and I’m about 95% FBA.

Does anybody know how these show for VAT return purposes, should I be separating them out somewhere and if so, how do I know the value without going through every transaction?

Go to settings - fulfilment by amazon and scroll down to Allow Amazon to buy my products to sell globally - does it say enabled or disabled?

FBA Export from Amazon UK still works to both EU and non-EU countries - Amazon charges destination country import fees (inc. VAT) in checkout and ships these orders as DDP. FBA Export can enabled or disabled in FBA settings (“Shipping programmes and export settings”).

I’m not familiar with UK VAT return but there is probably a separate box for exports or 0% sales, so you do need to separate them.

Yes - Republic of Ireland - amzn remove my VAT on FBA sales - so just tell your accountant as such - that those sales should not be included in the Box 1 of your VAT Return. @Sequin

Keep your accountant up to speed and give them advanced warning of these types of sales.

Mine already know - apparently it is easy to distinguish sales without VAT from the sales reports downloadable through amazon (Custom Transaction Report and Custom Summary Report)

It should make no difference to you monetary wise - only more sales to IE
