Amazon return shipping lables QR codes
I have had a huge amount of customer complaints / emails and even A-Z open by CS where the customer is asking for QR code for return labels. As in they don’t have printer and need it printing in the drop off points.
Are customers not getting them Anymore.
CS keep messaging us saying we need to send it to the customer and does not understand we have no access to them.
Have I missed something?

I don’t think they ever did get QR codes for printerless returns, not for FBM orders.
Since the prepaid return label policy came in, the labels supplied are Royal Mail Tracked 48 or Evri postage labels.
We haven’t had a message like this for a while, we get them occasionally - we just advise them that we are unable to provide a QR code label and that Amazon has provided the required return label.
As for CS - yeah, they’ll just pass the message on from the customer - they won’t in the slightest actually understand the return process.
Going further - if you take a look at the prepaid return label FAQS - here is what Amazon advise…
What should I do if the customer cannot print the return label?
You can consider the following options:
- The customer can return the product on their own. Go to Return reason codes for prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders to understand the return reason. If you are accountable for the return, you must add the cost of return shipping to the refund.
- The customer can go to an internet café, public library, or local print shop to print the return label.
So amazon expect the customer to go and print it somewhere else, or they can simply pay for the postage and you can refund them.

You might get them for FBA orders being returned to amazon themselves - but if you look at the labels being generated by the prepaid return label system for FBM orders - they are standard Royal Mail Tracked 48 labels only.

Hey @Outdoor_1,
This is a very educational thread! Thanks for creating it!
Thanks for that link to the Post office, that seems to be a source of confusion. I will also add a link to the instructions for customer when they wish to return items, Return Items You Ordered you could direct them there.
Shout out to @osgood for the great response, I will add the link to the full page for further reference, Prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders.
Regards,
Winston

And just so you know how bad this system is I’m about to loose an A-Z because the buyer cannot print a returns label.
Which amazon have asked us to send him via email a label (which they can’t print)
We have also sent them to our own personal track returns link on RM site which they still haven’t used.
AZ open I’m sure to loose this.
