Can you sell under a brand in a category that you did not specify that brand would sell in?
Hello,
When I registered my brand through brand registry I remember part of the process being selecting which categories I planned on selling in (under the brand). I am now interested in launching some new products in categories I did not select at that time, and it would be ideal if I could sell these new products under my existing brand. So my question is am I permitted to sell in categories that I did not select during the registry process under my brand?
Thanks so much for any help.
Griffin.

Thanks for being here on the Amazon forums, this is Lucre, and I'm happy to assist.
I understand you're looking to add more products to your already registered brand, however I don't recommend you to do that as the system may eventually request for information and take your listings down.
The recommendation is to submit your brand registry application again for the new categories you're looking to sell.
I know it takes longer to wait for your application to be approved than to start listing in the new categories from now, but it's the best option in the long run.
Another alternative is to list the new products under a generic brand if it meets the criteria.
Please find more information about the generic brand criteria below:
