Quick Tip: Categories & Tags in the New Forum Experience

Now, before posting a new topic, you’ll be required to select one category and up to 5 tags (a minimum of one tag must be selected). You may have already noticed that categories and tags have been updated. Categories and tags keep the Seller Forums organised so that you can find answers to questions faster. These also help in filtering search results by topic.
Let’s say for example that you want to talk about sending a recent FBA order to one of the fulfilment centres. You might choose the following categories and related tags:

This whole new experience sees quite dispiriting to me. In particular for those of us who can occasionally help others, it's actually a chore to log in and then have to select categories or tags. When most of the conversations were just in a general thread, we just had to look at the titles of the newest conversations and then decide if we had any appropriate experience or knowledge to contribute. I have filtered to most recent discussions, but only 8 discussions are visible, as a lot of screen space has been given over to the first couple of sentences of the OPs' posts.
Secondly there is a lack of categories and tags where discussions about Amazon's own behaviour and policies can be held. For example the most popular topic by far in the week preceding the change in the boards formats was DDBR. The only way that so far iIhave been able to find that conversation is by clicking on my own profile and from there following the links generated by my own contributions
