New Seller First Shipment

Hello Sellers, been doing FBM for a bit but I feel I want to take my next step and do FBA.

I have about 4 ASINS at the moment I want to work with. How many items for each ASIN should I be sending for my very first shipment into FBA? I'm nervous to send too little and at the same time I don't want to send too many as I'm still new and learning about all the fees.

Thanks

Have you scanned the forum posts about all the FBA nightmares with lost shipments and confiscated products yet? If you are able and it's not too hard stick with FBM if you can and Save yourself from the lost profits from all the fees and headaches with lost inventory at fulfillment centers that come along with FBA. Just scroll the forums and see all the posts.

Hi @Seller_t0rFIlmPiO2SY!

I understand your caution about starting with FBA - it's a big step! Let me share some helpful information from Amazon's help pages that might help you decide on quantities.

The FBA New Selection program (see details here) offers some great benefits for new-to-FBA products. Under the "Program details" section, you'll find that Amazon provides:

  • Free monthly storage for 120 days (up to 100 units for standard-size items, 50 units for non-standard)
  • Free liquidation within 180 days if the items don't sell as expected
  • A 10% average rebate on sales for eligible ASINs

You can certainly send more units if you'd like - the help page's FAQ section specifically mentions there's no upper limit. However, these special benefits only apply to the first 100 or 50 units per ASIN (depending on size).

When you're ready to create your first shipment, there's a detailed guide at Send FBA inventory to Amazon. They even provide helpful PDFs with step-by-step instructions and a shipment checklist.

Hope this helps you take that next step with FBA!

Dont send it, this is scam once you send the shipment there is nothing in your hand. Anytime they can delist your product and dissolved your inventory. I am victim for this. Trust me you wont get any support on this.
