Amazon FBA damaged my items due to bad packaging sent to buyer and refuse to reimburse me

So I sold several action figures in the last few weeks. On 2 separate orders shortly after delivery replacement orders were made. Obviously with action figures the condition of the box is a big deal. I contacted Amazon support as to why replacement orders were made they stated that the items were likely damaged during shipment and said they would not reimburse me for the items even though they were in perfect condition when sent to the warehouse. I have the option selected to have damaged inventory sent back to me and I received one of them back today. Amazon sent the action figure in an unpadded brown envelope instead of a box. The box to the action figure was crushed completely. If they sent it to me like that im 100% certain thats how they sent it to the customer and thats how it ended up damaged. It's crazy to me that they would send an action figure in an unpadded envelope instead of a box like how it should be shipped and the fact that they refuse to reimburse me due to their negligence.

Seeing to it that your items can withstand handling by Amazon and the unprotected journey to the buyer is all on you, the seller. FBA terms tell you what sort of treatment your item is supposed to be able to survive.

And yes, the condition of the box for something like that is important. Up to you to package it so that it arrives in the buyers hands in New condition.

Hi @Seller_dsRMhIvENNyzI,

Thank you for reaching out on the Seller Forums. I'm sorry to hear about your item's packaging!

To echo what has been mentioned in the replies, for products where the packaging is important, I would recommend shipping the units how you would like them packaged to the buyer.

Additionally, here are a few resources that will share some additional information and best practices for when it comes to packing your goods:

If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please let me know.
