Customer Dropshipping

Hoping someone has some advice for us on this.

We have a customer who is buying our product on Amazon and selling it on ebay. They are buying it from us but always dropshipping it straight to their customers. We have not agreed to this. Which from our understanding violates Amazon's policies. Not to mention, the said customer is incredibly rude and demands refunds after only 2 days of not receiving the item (2 days from date of dispatch). Which we have worked out could actually potentially be a fraudualent issue (but that's another story for another day).

We have told them that we will cancel their orders if they continue to place them as A: they are violating an Amazon policy and B: they are impatient with the delivery to the point it's impossible to reason with them and C: they are just down right rude. But all they do is setup a new (fake) account and reorder under that new name/account. This affects our CLR although we are yet to breach the 2.5% allowance. They then leave negative feedback for every order, even when it's been cancelled and refunded in full.

It's now getting a bit petty to be honest. We have contacted Amazon via the Account Health team (which was a waste of time) and via the 'report a violation' but as I'm sure you're all aware, Amazon don't seem to care less and we're yet to get a response.

We have even reported them to ebay as they are using our image and text, basically just copied and pasted our listing on there but again, nothing to be heard from ebay either.

Is there really nothing the seller can do about this? Surely as a seller you have the right to reject an order?! But then again, this is Amazon so all reason goes out the window!

Help! Please.

I don't think that actually fulfilling an ebay order using a dropship from amazon is actually against amazon policy (though I recall there is something about using a Prime account to fulfill business orders)

It is however against ebays terms to dropship from another retailer or amazon - so your argument here is with amazon.

If thye are putting in refund requests, how are you shipping? Do you have enough tracking in place?

As has been mentioned the drop shipping part is an ebay issue not an Amazon one.

Is selling on ebay yourself a possibility?

To be honest, I am appalled at how soft you all are, sorry. Against Amazon or eBay policy, rude, petty? its fraud or theft, nothing less. This person is not a dropshipper, a dropshipper would pay for what they order, they are a thief and should be locked up.

I know some will say a letter before action to the thief is against Amazon policy, although any action against the seller would be aiding and abetting a crime, but LBA to Amazon isn't and enough of them may influence Amazon to try harder. In the end stopping this avenue for thieves will improve the platform for buyers, sellers and Amazon

The more sellers roll over and be a doormat, the worse it will get.

We had a seller dropshipping our Amazon products on eBay and then filing a few non-delivery reports. We reported the seller to eBay, and they took the seller down within an hour. We tried with Amazon, but they were not interested at all, as expected.

Hi

I have placed several orders on eBay and Amazon prime delivered the order.

I ordered Shanpoo, Mouthwash, Turtlewax Leather Cleaner, Hugo Boss Deodrant Sticks etc etc

Encourage the buyer to purchase directly from you on Amazon, where you presumably earn a profit from the sale. Include a clear, prominently displayed letter in the package that shows the price paid on Amazon. If the customer has purchased the item on eBay, they may be displeased upon seeing the Amazon price. This strategy could potentially deter buyers who engage in this behavior, as they might receive negative feedback on eBay.

You could up your price to the same he is selling on ebay for? Customers must happy to pay the extra because it's getting sales? might stop him?

I am registered as a business on eBay but the seller I bought the bicarbonate from claims to be a private seller. It's the point I made to him, for privacy law, GDPR and so on, they are not supposed to share my details to any third parties without my consent. He claimed that he only gave them my address and telephone number, nothing to worry about. Ebay deletes these accounts when flagged but they come back again :(

My concern is using Amazon to fulfil their order on eBay they are running a business and not a private seller. Also who else are they sharing your data with when they are not the supplier of record?

That is terrible!

As tracking seems an issue I was just wandering if you could put your Amazon price up to allow to send Tracked 48/24 but keep your eBay price the same and send Parcel24.

In that way you will have more clout with Amazon if customer claims INR before due delivery date as tracking will show it was picked up, on way, etc AND as your eBay price will be less that their eBay price you are more likely pick up those eBay orders.

May be worth trying for a bit - see if the price increase affects your Amazon orders. If it does, then once the person stops ordering, put price back to where it was. If there is no decrease in Amazon orders then continue with new price.
