Incorrect Transit times being calculated by Shipping Settings Automation

Hello All,

I've had a case open for about 6 weeks with seller support about incorrectly quoted transit times and I can't get someone to actually look at the orders in question..

Is anyone else having an issue with the transit times on orders being incorrect?

For instance, in May we had a bunch of orders that stated the ship by date was Friday and they had to be delivered by the following Monday which is 1 business day.

These shipments were all shipping from Florida, 1 went to MI, 1 to LA and the last 1 to NY. All of them said ship Friday, deliver Monday. We ended up overnighting 2 of them which cost an average of $107 and the other one we shipped ground and it arrived late.

We have our handling time set to 1 because we ship all orders the same day up to 3 PM EST. Amazon cannot tell me what service can arrive in 1 business day. They keep saying we need to adjust our handling time or nothing is wrong because SSA did the estimates...

Handling time is one part of the puzzle.

Check your shipping templates and see what you have your Transit Times set to.

We set closer states to a low transit time and add days to farther locations.

Ex/ if your transit time is set to 3 days plus 1 day handling time - that gives you 4 days for the item to arrive if you ship same day.

Unless the buyer chooses premium shipping (1day or 2day)

In addition, We found SSA problematic so we turned it off and set our handling times at item level. This can be done in bulk with a upload template if you have a pro account.

Hello @Seller_Kt2SjlDHCNUwu. Thanks for checking in about those shipments. I reached out to our Shipping Settings Automation partner team and they confirmed that the correct times were calculated based on the shipping method based on a seller's most recent choice at the SKU/Warehouse/Customer location.

For products you previously shipped: Your delivery promise will be automatically calculated based on the shipping services you previously used in different shipping zones.Learn more

For products never shipped to a buyer's shipping zone: Your delivery promise will be calculated based on the shipping service rules configured below.

You can read more about this on the update help page: Shipping preferences for seller-fulfilled orders
