Spent a Fortune on Ads

Hello Guys,

We need some help and would like to see if there is anyone here passing through the same problem. We currently spend a lot of Sponsored ads, roughly about $150k per year. For the past 3 years we have been spending close to the same amount and generating many sales. But this year has been a disaster! We kept with the same sponsored ads, added a few more keywords here and there in different campaigns, took some out, but nothing different from the usual ads maintenance and research.

Since the year started until today our ACOS has been 110%!!. Which never happened before. Has anyone been going through the same where the ads were reaching more people but stopped generating sales?

Thank you for your help!

Hi @Seller_N18GJdrtWJo2A,

I am unable to speak to the experience of other sellers, but did want to provide some resources on this topic that might be helpful. It is normal to see relevant keywords and targeting to change year by year as customer shopping behavior changes. The resources below go into the different ways you can update your campaigns and lower your ACOS:

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @Seller_N18GJdrtWJo2A. Honestly, Amazon PPC is quite confusing and tough to keep track of.

Have you considered outsourcing your sales campaigns to agencies or tools? With amounts like that, they'd be happy to take you onboard.

If you don't feel like agencies, there are also AI tools out there, like Autron that can do the ad management for you.

I think this may be related to increased competition in the advertising field.
