Customer returned completely different item with different serial and part number. Amazon fully refunded and Safe-T claim denied claim

@SEAmod I had a customer purchase a $1120.00 inverter seller fulfilled, and returned a completely different, used old inverter that was severly damaged. Amazon fully refunded the customer for the return so we opened a Safe-T claim. We provided the Safe-T claim team with pictures of the incorrect part number along with the serial numbers of all the units we purchased(provided within the invoice). We showed the team that the item returned was never in out inventory and that the serial/part number on the item returned was completely different then what we had sent to the customer. Safe-T team denied claim. Customer clearly stated in buyer messages that they sent the wrong item and even provided us with a return label for the item.

Hey there @Seller_pGYPwheiWrkp7- and thanks for seeking some insight on handling such situations here on the forums. I was able to take a look through the order and claim in question and do see the window to submit an appeal did close on August first. Despite this, I did submit a request for some further review and assistance on the claim situation, but want to provide the disclaimer the team may deny it based on that timeline.

In case its helpful for future claims, I will share these best practices from the forums team on SAFE-T Claims, and will be sure to follow up on this thread with you when I receive any updates.

Best,

Danny
