Impossible delivery date for second day shipping to an APO FPO address.
This is not the first time this has occurred to me. I have in the past opened several cases but I am just told all is fine. I would like a mod to look into this and push for a solution.
When shipping to an APO FPO delivery in 1 or 2 days is not possible according to the options shown on amazon buy shipping, but you still allow customers to buy second day shipping. I get told well USPS told us would arrive on time but of course when I go to ship no option says it will or is covered on buy shipping. If it is USPS telling you it would originally then Amazon needs to work with USPS to address their glitch with their system that quotes delivery dates to Amazon. Now I am going to be suspended from premium shipping because the delivery date is impossible no matter what.
For reference your system says it gave the customer the date based on priority mail. (which wont arrive till Tuesday) Express has the same delivery date FYI.
I do not have a case number as its been long ago.
I can provide an order number for example.

Are you allowing automation on your shipping templates? If not, you should be able to set much longer transit times for APO / FPO

Look at your shipping settings. APO are different from the rest.

Last I knew, APO addresses don't scan for acceptance/DC either....
Does this affect our metrics some way (OTDR, etc.?).

That is a mistake. If you have special circumstances you must remain on the standard shipping templates. Amazon thinks they know better, they do not.
For us we offer;
- Same Day premanufactured items
- One - Two day manufactured on demand products
- Three Day custom Products
- Handmade products that take 4-20 days
We must control our shipping, it can not be automated. We have beat it down, we went from 1.8 days to 0.2 days. If you go over two days on your handoff for a scan, they force you into Automation. (To be clear, the earlier you ship the more you are punished.)
Now what happens is we "Delight The Customer" by putting items ready to ship into boxes of despair. They go out on the promised date. And arrive when we used to deliver early.
Stupid Amazon.
Amazon will not change for you, you must change for them. Just the way it works on the river.
By the way you can kiss all the frogs in Seller Support and expect to get a Prince. It is never going to happen.

APO FPO = Army Post Office = USA and the parcel will be forwarded > FPO = Foreign Post Office which means whoever ordered the item is stationed outside the United States and the parcel will arrive 8-10 business days if you are lucky. No expedited shipping for Army Post Office with FPO International.

Amazon's shipping is all messed up. It's been quoting me that UPS SurePost is faster than UPS Ground.
For expedited shipping, I ship Fedex 2 Day. I've had Amazon tell the buyer that placed their order Thursday that it would arrive Saturday. No Saturday delivery was available to that address.
