Amazon Scheduled Deliveries for Marketplace Sellers

We are continuously getting notified by our carrier that when they are attempting to contact customers to book in their delivery they are unable to do so as the contact numbers provided are invalid, a landline, or out of use.

I want to put a suggestion in, that when customers are ordering items that blatantly state that a carrier will contact you to arrange the delivery (as shown in the image attached) that the customer is mandated to confirm and validate the phone number they put in for the delivery upon ordering so that this does not happen.

We must get at least 10 orders per week where the courier contacts us stating the contact number provided is invalid or out of use. Every time I log into seller central I am mandated to verify with an OTP, surely a similar thing can be applied when ordering something of near £1000 in value, on a scheduled delivery.

Not only this, when the customers ignore our messages to them via Amazon buyer-seller messaging to request they update their contact information and to book in their delivery with the carrier, then proceed to file an A-Z claim for an undelivered product which then hits us with not only an ODR defect, we also then have to pay the courier to return the package to us from the customers local depot where it has been sat waiting for them to book the delivery in, ON TOP of the outbound fee we have already paid to ship the package out to the customer...

I feel your pain. I often get orders with phone numbers as 0000 0000. Useless or what? I know that customers assume that they will receive scam calls if they publicise their numbers but this is silly.

However for the couriers to state that a landline is a problem is pushing it a little. Mobile preferred, yes but they can't stipulate that it has to be a mobile.
