Transfer your Selling on Amazon account to the intended legal entity by self-service in Seller Central not working
Hi everyone I wanted to change my account from sole trader to ltd company so I provided the following documents to amazon:
Certificate of incorporation and share holder file (I do no have any share holders)
The buisness and contact in identity information shows:
FIRST JOIN****
Sole Proprietor
“FIRST JOIN****” is ltd company and this has changed from sole trader name “startproducts”
But the identity informatin is saying “Your information is being verified.
and that this will take upto 10 days”. which is taking more than 10 days.
And the verification team has sent me the following email:
Hello,
We recently contacted you as you can now transfer your Selling on Amazon account to the intended legal entity by self-service in Seller Central.
What happens if I do not update the requested information?
If you do not update the requested information, your account will be restricted as follows:
– In 60 days from the date we first reached out, your funds may no longer be disbursed and your account verification on Amazon UK or Amazon European stores could be impacted.
What do I need to do?
Before transferring your Selling on Amazon account to the intended legal entity, ensure that you do the following:
- Proceed with the disbursement of the pending funds linked to the account as a result of your selling activity on Amazon.
- Do not modify the email address the account is currently linked to throughout the process.
To transfer your legal entity, complete the following steps:
- Go to the “Settings” section of Seller Central:
https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/hz/sc/account-information - Click “Transfer Account” in the “Business Information” section.
- Follow the steps of the automated transfer process:
- Tick the box to agree with Legal Entity Change process and click “Continue”.
- Confirm the business information of the initially registered entity. Note that the information will not change at this stage and boxes will appear grayed out. Click “Continue”.
- Tick the box to agree and accept the Terms & Conditions of the Transfer Agreement, and click “Continue”.
The entity that was initially registered will be signed out and the new legal entity will sign in to complete the process.
If you do not wish to proceed with the requested change, confirm the withdrawal by replying to this email.
Once we receive this information we will review your case and inform you as to the next steps.

were you actually verified as a sole trader ?
did amazon request your UTR confirmation letter as if it shows your storename rather than your own name under sole proprietor, you won’t have got through verification

how long has it been bearing in mind they most likely mean 10 working days and we’ve had easter recently ?

I’ll be honest and say you’ve got loads of issues
You entered an insurance number instead of UTR
Your sole trader name is your storename instead of your real name according to the notification from amazon
And now you say you aren’t even registered as a ST
I’m not sure how you’ll get through verification in the first place with these 2 bits of incorrect information , let alone transfer it to your ltd
My honest advice would be to not give up the day job.
Surely a barrister makes more money than most amazon sellers - the ones that I know do
