Does DHL USA handle DDP shipments to Amazon
Hi everyone,
I’m shipping inventory from Indonesia to an Amazon FBA warehouse in the USA using DHL Express.
I want to make sure the process goes smoothly, so I have two quick questions:
1. Can DHL USA handle DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipments to Amazon FBA?
2. If DHL can’t do DDP, what’s the recommended method to ensure customs duties and taxes are prepaid properly before delivery?

Hello @Seller_KngfrYw7zA6DC. Thanks for that question about DHL. I reached out to our partner team with your question and will follow up with DHL-specific information.
In the meantime, one of my teammates answered a question about DDP in our February Ask Amazon: Buy Shipping Event held in February 2024:
"There are two options for delivery duties (1) Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) - Selling Partners will be charged for delivery duty to their Amazon account after clearing customs (2) Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) - There are some receiving countries that do not accept DDP. For these countries, duties and taxes can only be billed to the receiver. This will be notified to the selling partner in the UI."
