My shipments keeps getting lost, damaged or stolen

for some reason I’m always having trouble with my shipments. They are either lost, damaged or stolen. Normally Amazon would take 2 months for an investigation to start. That’s along time. It would start off with one investigation date. Then when that day comes. Amazon would push it back to another date. Now I shipped my products on September 11 and something happened. Amazon pushed my investigation date back multiple times. Now it says my investigation date is January 19. Is anyone else having this issue or had this issue? I believe this is my 4th or 5th time having trouble with my shipments.

How many shipments have you had issues with?

Is the entire shipment missing? Or "just" items in the shipment?

How are you shipping to FBA? (LTL, FTL, SPD)?

Hi @Seller_W0wWL2OUm2Eyq,

Dominic from Amazon here, would like to help. Are you packing and labeling the shipment yourself? If so can you please provide me a list of shipment ID's that you have had issues with? I would like to deep dive this to see if I can find anything additional to support!

Best,

Dominic

I am having exactly the same problem currently. Shipped a package a month ago and it disappeared after being accepted by Fulfillment center. And that's the end of it. This inventory would be really helpful during Black Friday. But no, it's sitting somewhere in the FC.

Screen shot all the dates and keep them handy, somehow whenever we are demanding the product be found after being lost for months and multiple push out days, they turn up within the week.

So many stories like this is why we built our own Wherehouse.

Amazon is growing so fast. Brand Registry Catalog lost products return policies that give away seller's money and or products. Sometimes I wonder where the sanity in amazon is.

Hope the mod can help fine your stuff.

I have seen a noticeable decline in warehouse receiving by Amazon this year. It is a rare shipment that doesn't have at least a few items "missing." Amazon has a clever strategy of making you wait months to ask for an investigation and then, when the evidence is all gone, a seller support person reads you the same thing that you can see on your screen. It's not really an investigation.

A critical tool is the Inventory Ledger report. That actually shows the history of your inventory, so that you can see if it was received, and, in some cases, when Amazon disappeared it. Seriously, stuff can be in stock and then just evaporate. You can also see warehouse transfers. For example, we sent in 40 items and Amazon made them disappear. They are floating around in their warehouse system, probably to appear after Christmas. At least we know the score and we won't waste time chasing them.

The main thing is, sometimes the Ledger shows that an item actually WAS received. The information is different from the Shipment module of SC. When we ask for an investigation we always provide the inventory ledger report, because most support associates are too lazy to actually click on it themselves (or else Amazon tells them not to.)

Amazon's strategy seems to be to wear down sellers until they give up. It's hard to keep tracking numerous missing items over months while also running a business. And sure, you can spend hours trying to get reimbursement for a $30 item, so it's all your fault if you give off and Amazon has to keep your money, right? This is rapidly becoming SOP among large corporations.
