Approved by Brand to Sell on Amazon, but Facing Listing Restrictions
I am facing a challenging situation and would greatly appreciate any advice or insights from the community. My business has recently entered into an agreement with a brand that has authorized us to sell their products on Amazon. Based on this partnership, I have invested in a significant amount of inventory, ready to be listed and sold on the platform.
However, when attempting to list these products, I encountered the following message from Amazon:
"To maintain a safe and trustworthy shopping experience, certain products cannot be listed or sold on Amazon or may be subject to additional requirements because of supply chain authenticity risks. Your account does not currently meet the criteria required to list these products due to account metrics, distribution pathways of the brand, or other factors. We are currently not accepting applications to sell these items. We will not be able to provide any further information regarding your application. If your account becomes eligible to sell this product, you will see 'Apply to sell' next to the product in the 'Add products' feature in Seller Central."
This restriction has put me in a difficult position, as I am now sitting on a large quantity of stock that I cannot sell on Amazon, despite having the brand's explicit approval. The inability to list these products not only affects my business financially but also strains my relationship with the brand, as selling on Amazon was a crucial part of our agreement.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to effectively communicate with Amazon to overcome these listing restrictions. Has anyone faced a similar situation where they had a brand's approval but were still prevented from selling on Amazon? If so, how did you navigate this issue and successfully list your products?

Hello @Seller_ufsqV3rbB64Q1,
Thanks for posting to the Forums. Amazon requires approval to sell in many categories, brands, and products and in some instances restrictions and policies change. While you may have been approved in the past, as the Amazon catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations on which products should be restricted, which is based on a number of factors. Amazon does this to ensure authenticity and customer satisfaction.
For this reason, you may be required to gain approval to sell certain products. You can see if there's an option to apply to sell through Seller Central, going to Catalog>Add a Product. Next, find the ASIN you would like to sell and then apply to sell if there is an option.
You will find more details about this using the resources below:
