Self invoicing my own brand
Whats going on guys?
Just wanted to know if you are sourcing your products from a manufacture or a supplier and the items are unbranded and you plan on creating your own brand name and trademarking your items with these unbranded items. Is it possible to self invoice your own items since your are the legal brand owner of your own items?? Will amazon accept that??
Thanks

I have multiple LLCs -- one is my manufacturing arm while another is my Amazon sales arm.
At one point they insisted on some paperwork so I did an invoice from LLC #1 to LLC #2.
That was several years ago so it may or may not work (or even be necessary) now since I also sent in the LLC paperwork for both of them showing common ownership!

You are going about things the wrong way.
If you are buying a generic product and labeling it with your own brand, there are no invoices involved. You become the manufacturer of your brand. You just have to make sure the product and packaging meet USA standards.
Generic products are made just for that purchase. You can either buy the Pad Stamping machine and label them yourself, of request the manufacturer label the product with your brand. Personally, we choose to brand and package ourselves which is more cost effective.
Now with that said, if you attend the ASD Show in Las Vegas, the second week of March 2024, there will be hundreds of manufactures of all kinds of products you may be interested. The show lasts a week and only costs showing your business license to get in.
Amazon shops there, hundreds of successful Amazon sellers shop there, Macy's shops there, and I shop there. The beauty of it is this. With the millions pf products on display at the wholesale level, no one person, one store, or Amazon can sell everything. That's where you come into the picture, as there is always room for one more.
If you attend, you will learn there is no need to reinvent the wheel. It is a lot easier to see how what you want to do can be quickly done for you.

So it all depends on what purpose you need the invoices for.
If it is to prove you are authorized to sell the products, probably non issue since you are the brand owner.
If it is to get reimbursed for products lost in FBA, then you will want invoices to show your cost for the products. Be sure to include your cost to get the generic items and your cost for Branding and packaging them.

Best way is to get brand registry and secure your own trademarks, then when time comes to verify you just need to send a packing list. This and invoice are both accepted, but packing list is much easier for the clowns at Amazon to read, since you can format it accordingly. Invoice works, but if it comes from oversea suppliers then seller support acts like they don't know how to read.
