Except for Black Friday and Cyber-Monday, ours have been minimal this season until this past weekend(after many were paid on Thursday and Friday).

Tells me that despite the pseudo-news from the spin-masters in DC, many are still living paycheck to paycheck.

Could be everyone reads e-books, could be the alphabet generations can't focus long enough to read a novel and certainly aren't interested in the lives or history of those before them....

I volunteer at a non-profit once a week w/ an attached book-store stocked by donations. Our average book is $4-6-and most are in V/G to LIKE NEW CONDITION; so could easily be given as gifts. We can't stock the shelves fast enough.

Our units are up 7% but sale down 26% so much fun selling more for nothing. We sure aint buying no new products for some time. This market price manipulation is not worth the headache just time to eliminate items to eliminate storage's.

It seems Amazon is getting known as place for garbage products because they are prioritizing advertisers over well performing product listings. In the old days (haha), listing quality drove search and gave Amazon a reputation as a place to buy quality products.

I agree with that. We had every year so far growth, this year is pretty flat.

I have been in business a long time. 46 years brick and mortar, 26 years online. For many, many years my historical worst day was a December 5th. Watch the news. In about a week you will see a report about "dissapointing Christmas sales." Then during the week after Christmas you will see that the season was saved by last minute sales.

Sales are down by about 30% compared to last year, and prices have decreased by 20%. However, we've spent 300% more on advertising. It's not worth the headache. I'm considering pausing the business next year and waiting to see how overseas sellers are killing USA-based small businesses.

I have noticed about every other day for the past two weeks the buy boxes are turned off for most of the day or dont display. Then at night they are back on again. The algorithm is horrible.

In the last 4 days sales collapsed by 60%. Christmas just got downgraded. Christmas shopping spree froze. Time for simple things I guess.

We've been on the marketplace for a little over 7 years, and this has been the worst quarter for volume and gross since we started.
