Capacity limit I cannot restock FBA - Capacity Manager

Hello,

Is anyone else having issue with this new Capacity Manager launched yesterday.

It seems we can’t send anything else in and there is no option to upgrade the amount of capacity for this month.

I feel this was a bit of an oversight by Amazon. We are not being given the space to grow.

Combined with the strikes at BHX4. This is massively slowly our potential for growth this month.

We have customers wanting to buy our goods and I can’t get the stock into Amazon.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Regards

There is no option to bid for space or adjust anything this month. It’s kind of locked out at 100 cubic which is frustrating.

Yesterday also it was asking for 2000 units, now its completely wiped that and it’s as if the system is refusing to allow us to expand the units.

Very strange, because we are selling 5-10% of our capacity per day. It should be increasing it daily in my opinion if we have the sales.

Yes, we are a new selling under 39 week, so I didn’t think this capacity thing came into play yet?

Yes we have, and to make it worse - as far as I can see, the increased capacity requests we had made (which were granted may I add) prior to the switch on March 1st, have been taken away during the time that more FBA pallets of ours were in transit to Amazon, which has now resulted in £11,782.61 in their monthly ‘overage fee’ forecast. Also means we can’t send any more because according to the system we are way over capacity !!

It’s like you buy a ticket from Manchester to Barcelona for £100 for example, and then when the plane has taken off they say “Sorry, it should have been £680”. Weird analogy but it’s the only one I can think off !!!

I don’t understand though why they brought this in. Is it just another way to fee us? It’s very frustrating.

I have a problem in my EU storage. I have started to doing PAN EU again having not done it for a couple of years.

I was approached by Amazon about it before Christmas but they gave my 1 cubic meter of space due to my IPI score. I therefore missed all the Christmas trade. My account manager said they could not increase it as the computer said no. This was despite them putting me on their pilot.

My IPI was then fine as I sell a lot over Christmas (I sell toys). I had unlimited space.

I started sending the stock in. Based on my sales pre Brexit I will need around 100 cubic meters. They have now given me 2.9. So I am over capacity and I have ground to a halt. The very large order of over 100 ASIN that I have been preparing now can’t go anywhere.

You couldn’t make it up.

It is worth checking how they calculate the space. I am arguing with them now.

I sent all the stock I currently have in the EU in one box which was 0.15 cubic meters. It was to test the new process of getting stock there. I have sold over half of it but they tell me I am using 0.9 cubic meters.

I have run the inventory report which includes cube. It shows only 39 units in stock at 0.07 cubic meters. Ni idea where they get 0.9 from.

They told me it included shipments I am working on. I have written back and explained to them that there is a different section on the capacity monitor for that.

Still going around in circles.

It takes at least 2 weeks to get stock into Europe so even if I bought extra space for next month I would only have 2 weeks to try and sell it through and get credits.
