Urgent: Unauthorized GL Type Tampering of Our ASINs – Request for Immediate Correction

Dear Amazon Support Team,

I am the owner of the our brand, and our products have been targeted by competitors who are hijacking our listings and maliciously altering the GL type. Specifically, they have changed the GL type of our ASINs to GL_DIGITAL_PRODUCTS_3_ACCESSORY, which is completely incorrect—our products are baby bathtubs and belong under GL_BABY_PRODUCT.

We have already opened multiple cases to request corrections (e.g., Case IDs 17843461621, 17846582851, 17845788141), and the support team confirmed that they would update the GL type for the affected 17 ASINs. However, after two days, the issue remains unresolved.

We urgently request Amazon’s intervention to:

Revert the GL type of these ASINs to the correct GL_BABY_PRODUCT category.

Investigate and take action against the malicious sellers responsible for this tampering.

This issue is severely impacting our business, and we appreciate your prompt resolution. Please provide a case reference number or direct contact for follow-up.

I've reviewed your ASINs and at this time they have already been reverted by to Baby Products. However there appears to still be some issue where the product is tied to another category from the back end. I'm currently looking into this to see what options exist. Once I have updates I will reach out to you here. Thank you.

We have the same issue over and over. Tried to find a way to protect our brand from this and it seems that it is impossible. Amazon representative assures us that it is impossible to change GL and these changes are made automatically by the Amazon system. Not sure whom we should believe, but this is innocence.

The GL can be updated, I had the issue about two weeks ago with "canned mackerel" being changed to "fresh fish." For those listings all FBA inventory went stranded.

Some reps said the issue was that I was not allowed to sell the product anymore but wouldn't give a reason for it. It took a while to find support reps who took the time to look into the issue for me. I am grateful for that.

To correct it I spent 3 hours with amazon support chat on a single listing and then waited several days for the corrections to be made. Other listings took about an hour depending on the support rep you talk to, but still took a few days to get email confirmation of it being fixed.

I am very grateful for the support reps at Amazon that take the time to fully understand the issue and then work to patiently correct it. Thank you to those that have helped.
