Price Alerts Gone Wild!

I have a number of ASIN price alerts that are INCORRECT because the "list price" Amazon has listed is less than $3, and incorrect.

Anyone getting any results with this? I understand the high price alert concept, but it is seriously broken!

There are even high price alerts on items that have no price reference.

I tried posting examples here but I get this:

This happens to us VERY often. For example, we will have an item that costs us, say, $50 from the MANUFACTURER, and then Amazon will disable our listing until we lower our price to $34.99. Literally forcing us to sell at a loss if we want to sell at all, EVEN WITH NO OTHER SELLERS. It will literally state we are overpriced, and then have a reference price of "No applicable Reference price"

Just Amazon being Amazon, and controlling prices for 3rd party sellers.

I have done a thorough search for several books removed due to too high price, what I found was that Amazon does not compare the same products to determine what you should sell it for. So its a broken tool that can't do what the maker claims it does. I make a case with proof and I ask for their proof that my price is too high... and they ignore reality and admonish me for doing something wrong.

Furthermore... it is price fixing. And its a concerted effort to eliminate small sellers that have built up Amazon. I have new books, the best available on amazon for years. Selling fine with pos fdbk, but Amazon says I need to list as used then they remove my used listing then when I list as collectable its not searchable unless the buyer selects collectable listings.

The AI is too stupid to realize its destroying amazon sales creating empty shelves. Price alert is not a capital friendly tool since it doesn't utilize the basic supply and demand principle. Amazont removes the supply so that buyers will demand it elsewhere.

When I opened the case, they asked me for product price links to study it. I presented links to Amazon, where other sellers offer the same product, in all cases my price is between the range of those competitors and they answered me:

"we do not consider internal URL as reference. Therefore, kindly provide us the exact external competitor URL with condition as new from the same marketplace and its reference price in order to proceed further."
