Understanding the Report: Pre-Fulfillment Cancellation Rate
Greetings Sellers!
To continue our series on reviewing shipping metrics, I will be providing more information regarding another metric on the account health page. This series aims to provide insight into the different shipping metrics that you can review the reports for.
For more information on pulling the report or to view our best practices for Late Shipment Rate (LSR), please check out the first of our series here. To review the details relating to Valid Tracking Rate (VTR), you will want to check out this thread here.
For this edition, we will be looking at the Pre-Fulfillment Cancellation Rate (CR). This metric is intended to show all seller-cancelled orders as a percentage of total orders during a given 7-day period. As always, the button to download the report can be found in the bottom left corner of the metric that you are aiming to review.
Note: The option to download the report will not be available on shipping metrics if you have not completed seller-fulfilled orders as shipping metrics are not impacted by FBA orders. Additionally, the report will show as empty if you have fulfilled orders but no defects currently impacting the metric.

The report will have three columns included (left to right): Order Date, Order ID, and Impacts Account Health. This metric will have the least amount of information of all the reports that are available to review. It will include all order or item cancellations that are initiated by the seller. This will not include any cancelled orders that are initiated by the customer, nor will it include pending orders or items.
The target for this metric will remain under 2.5% and will look at a period of 7 days. Any order that was cancelled and not customer initiated will show on the report. If the metric rises above the target, you may see the ‘at-risk’ banner on the account health page.
As a reminder, this will not mean action is required immediately as the banner could be present to inform you of the metric being off target. If you encounter any issues that you would like assistance with, I will encourage you to create your own discussion so that guidance can be provided to your specific situation.
