Cannot access my account _ Invalid Charge Method

Hello! I got this massage (below) after I changed my old credit card with a new one (Credit card, not Debit):

"Invalid Charge Method

Your access to Seller Central is currently restricted due to an invalid charge method. Register a valid charge method for your seller account and restore full access to Seller Central by clicking 'Update Charge Method'. Please note that it can take up to 48 hours to validate your charge method after updating. For more information, visit our Help Pages."

After 48 hours, access to my account is still restricted. I called in for Amazon assistance and they said that I will have to wait for 48 hours more for them to investigate the issue. My Case ID is 16035389221. Any help so that I can get access to my account is much appreciated!

My standard template response -- try it!

First, be sure it is an actual CREDIT Card. While Amazon claims that a Debit Card will work, that is seldom true!

Put the card number into your BUYER side account first. Wait an hour (sometimes less) for the gerbils to work their way through the system and then put it in the SELLER side.

Amazon is weird on so many levels and this seems to work at least sometimes!

Here is a thread where the OP says it worked.
