SALES DEAD Like Never BEFORE in 2024!!!!!
I'm not sure what has happened with Amazon but my sales are down 70% from last year and my sales are so low that my Account Health rating is decreasing. This is the hardest hit year of my selling career of 16 years.
I know it's summer but down 70% is a big drop and it seem as if my items are not getting any exposure. There are so many changes with Amazon that it is hard to tell what may be causing this. Just 7 months ago I was able to post "Once Dead Sales, Now Alive". I would rather post positive but this is sickening!!!!

I have the same problem the last 3 weeks. Overall sales dropped in the basement. My sales are usually pretty steady, though they are on Ebay...I remember this happened once before, a few months ago....

It's the economy. People don't have the money for discretionary spending.

FYI this happens a lot in the 2 weeks prior to prime day.
Every year.

Every time Amazon monkeys with the back end of their system they disrupt the algorithm and it takes time to regain momentum. The problem is that they are doing it on a daily basis around Prime Day and much of Q4 so it increases the time that the system isn't running at full speed.Additionally remember:
-It's an election year
-[Moderator Edit: removed off-topic]
-Summer time
-People think EVERYTHING is on sale for Prime Day and are waiting
-T3MU is deliberately loosing money so you will download their app and they can jack your data
-All Amazon cares about is their sales, not yours. Their house, their rules.

Well that makes me freak out a little bit less. We just launched our first product few weeks ago and haven't been getting any sales. Would love to know though what's going on!

My personal opinion is that is has to do almost entirely with the evolution of the Amazon search algorithm. Many of our customers tell us, and we have noticed as well, even if you enter the exact product you want in the search bar, you get pages of different products before the one you wanted - IF you ever get what you actually wanted. It is all about who pays for advertising and clicks. If you don't pay the extortion rates, then your customers never see your product - even if they ask for it by name. Not like the good old days when you could send customers to Amazon for your products.

My sales are still coming in batches. Sales are about on par with last year and over double 2 years ago, but there is something fishy here. Every month ends about the same, with a few days of blowout sales, then stretches of 1 sale in 4 days, then a blowout day etc.
I'm sorry things are this terrible for you. How has ebay been working out?

sales down by about 50%, and amazon suddenly deciding brands that I've sold for 7 years now can't be listed (or fixed) so listings that break are permanently broken.
They don't want my fee money anymore, I suppose. did 1M in gross last year, won't be anywhere near that this year.

The same for us.
It seems there has been an algorithmic change. If you search products in your inventory, one day they appear at the top of the search and the next day on page 7.
Some days, we sell a product 15 times a day and the next day, even with having the BB, sells 0.
Something has changed and everyone wants to blame the economy, blah blah....it's algorithmic and Amazon won't take any responsibility for this dip in sales. We've been at this several years to know this is NOT typical or normal.

It depends on your products and Amazon algorithm. You can check if your bestseller rank is affected or not.
Could you please share any of your ASIN so that we can check if we can suggest any changes in your listing?
