Another Fraudlent Chargeback Claim

As your help is always appreciated by all the sellers here in the forum. I would like your help in this clear case of fraudulent chargeback claim.

Order ID: 702-4942403-8469829

Order Date: January 5, 2025

Shipped: January 7, 2025 (GLS Canada, Tracking: P51987364)

Delivered: January 13, 2025 (Received by the customer)

Chargeback Claim Date: January 19, 2025

This is a clear case of fraudulent chargeback abuse:

1. No buyer-seller messages or return request were initiated.

2. No A-to-Z claim was filed—indicating intentional chargeback exploitation.

3. The customer received the order themselves and even coordinated delivery with the carrier.

4. We had no option to respond to the chargeback claim, and on February 9, it was marked as refunded from our account without any input from us.

5. The customer has now blocked our carrier’s contact after making special delivery requests at our expense.

Amazon holds the customer’s financial information and should protect sellers from such fraudulent claims. We kindly request reversal of this chargeback and for this buyer to be flagged to prevent further abuse against other sellers.

Attached are supporting documents as proof. Please review and take appropriate action.

I wanted to let you know that in this case we will need to wait to have the chargebacks claim team decision, before checking on the next steps.

The final outcome can take up to 90 days (or longer in rare cases) from the date the charge was represented to the issuing bank. They will inform you of the outcome, via email, only if you are financially responsible for the chargeback.

Thank you for your follow-up. Unfortunately, the chargeback claim team has held us responsible for this dispute without providing us the opportunity to submit our statement or supporting evidence to challenge the unfair claim made by the Amazon customer.

We would appreciate clarification on why we are being held liable for this chargeback and why Amazon is not defending the claim, despite the order being successfully delivered to the customer as per Amazon’s guidelines.

Additionally, since the product was delivered and the chargeback was unfairly processed, we kindly request Amazon to reimburse us for the product cost as we have fulfilled our part of the transaction.

Looking forward to your response and a resolution to this matter.
