What should I do if a customer is not happy with the product after 8 months? She wants a refund even though after I agreed to replace the item.

what do you mean by not happy with it? You dont have to refund and even after 6 months it would actually be on the customer to prove it was faulty when purchased.

Amazon has policies in place but they are to some degree a nonsense as they are always trumped by UK consumer law, if applicable. The answer will be in the detail.
