My magnetic product has been flagged as a danger to children but its not.

I have been selling a set of two flexible magnetic signs in the U.S. for years. They are made in-house by applying a vinyl sticker to a flexible sheet of magnetic material. Similar to a fridge magnet, but much bigger (approx. 7.5 x 10 inches). Recently I created an FBA listing for an identical set of flexible magnetic signs in Canada. I sent some of these products to Canada for FBA fulfillment. A few weeks later, I got an e-mail from Amazon saying my product posed a danger to children. The policy referenced in the message concerns small magnets that can be swallowed, and then become locked together, possibly pinching the intestines. But my products are nothing like that.Below is the text of the e-mail. I have added blank spaces to the URL and e-mail because otherwise I would not be able to post this message because the system thinks these are non-amazon URLs ! I am also bolding some text that seems especially ludicrous in its contradictions :

Hello from Amazon,

We are contacting you as our records show that you are selling products that are restricted for sale on Amazon.ca.

For the safety of our customers, the ASINs listed at the bottom of this email have been removed from Amazon. We are not accepting applications to sell these products.

Please refer to our Help Page for more information on our policy https:// sellercentral.amazon.ca/gp/help/external/GXDAVVP3RBLKV4GP.

We are here to help

If you believe the classification was done in error, please email highrisk-childsafety-ca@ amazon.com. with an explanation and all available evidence so we can review. If we confirm your products are restricted you will not be able to sell the below listed product(s) on Amazon.

FOR FBA Offers: If you have any inventory of these products remaining in our fulfillment centers, you’ll have 30 days from the date your listing has been removed to create a removal order. Instructions for creating a removal order can be found on the Remove Inventory Overview at (URL removed by poster).

If you do not request a removal, automated removal orders will be triggered. Standard removal fees apply.

Thank you for your attention to this important announcement.

Sincerely,

Amazon Services

I sent an e-mail to the address specified trying to explain the situation. I got no acknowledgement, and no response. After a week, I sent another e-mail. Still nothing and another week has passed. Then I opened a help case. I received this response:

----------------------------

Amazon requires sellers to meet all regulations and requirements for the marketplace in which they are selling prior to listing a product on Amazon. Provide us with the required documentation so that we can properly review your request and attempt to reinstate the ASIN for you.

Please provide the ISO 17025 certified laboratory.

https:// sellercentral.amazon.ca/help/hub/reference/XMGGPL6LC4CVXHT?referral=AX5FUIRKIBF6K_A1P105K3WRYUDX

----------------------

I sent another message about this help case, explaining that I felt this information was wrong, and that I have been selling hundreds of similar products in the U.S. and Canada and have never been required to provide such ISO 17025 certification.

But the response I got again requested ISO 17025 Certified Laboratory documentation.

Has anyone else had this experience? Is there any kind of work-around that does not require laboratory certification? We sell so few of these that I doubt that laboratory certification would be worth the expense. Even if I could afford to do it, I doubt that I could get it done in the limited time that remains before my FBA product will be sent to the landfill. I have yet to persuade even one person at Amazon to actually look at the product. If they did, I'm sure they would see immediately that it does not pose a danger to children or anyone else.
