Brand name updated to an incorrect brand
The brand name of a few hundred of our products were updated to an incorrect one. The brand was changed from GLM or GLM Marine to Great Lakes Memories. I sell boat parts and they sell picture frames so not sure how this happened. I contacted seller support and they stated the brand owner has to change it or approve me to change it? Is there not another way to correct this? I created these listing over ten years ago so I am not sure how they were even changed from the original. Is there a process for getting this resolved?
Here is the web store and you can see the issue.

Dougal_Amazon
Hello @Seller_5uYD3Dzgnbtnz,
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and thanks for the link and sample ASINs. I see what you are talking about and I do think there may be another way to fix this.
First, can you provide the case ID you mentioned here with Seller Support?
Does that case list all the ASINs that have been affected? I know you mention a few hundred so I want to make sure any escalation I do (if that is needed) will have all ASINs so when it is corrected, I get them all.
If the case does not have all the ASINs, is it your complete catalog? That might just be another resource I can pull a report from.
Looking forward to diving deeper into this and getting it fixed!
Best, Dougal

It's called hijacking. And there is little to no way that Amazon is going to help you about it. 80% of my listings got hijacked by companies and they added their brand to it. :(

hello @Seller_5uYD3Dzgnbtnz
Looks like hijacking. Have you tried contact with Amazon Brand Registry Support ?
best regards,
Voitek

Amazon is consistently inconsistent. Most of the time they won't let you correct the brand name when you are the brand owner and they tell you that some other seller has control of the listing but they will not tell you who it is.

Amazon is outrageous in this regard, on the one hand they focus on the fact that you can't change your brand, but on the other hand there are bad guys who use loopholes to change their brand and there's nothing they can do about that behavior

We have given up there are multiple instances of unscrupulous sellers trying to hijack listings. They use for Eg brand names that have nothing to do with the listing and Amazon won't let you correct it. It's a joke.

This is what amazon does! THEY allow fraud. They allow your listing to be updated without your knowledge with INCORRECT data and then will QUICKLY shut you down when a brand owner or customers complains when THEY CAUSED this issue. I suggest you contact the FTC with your evidence.
